Everyone I have met has been friendly and helpful. There are plenty of societies to join and the student union bar is great for a bit of socialisation on the side. I wish there were more green spaces to sit and quiet areas like the library dotted around. Parking is a bit hit and miss but there's plenty of buses.

There is nothing bad here. All of the teachers are very friendly. Students are very friendly. The staff of the university offer help at anytime i need help. Facilities are good as well. We have lab practicals, computer lab sessions.

Check their website for course vacancies, and if there's a course you're interested in, you can apply by calling them or getting in touch via email. Register your interest today, and the Chester team will reach out!

When you contact Chester, make sure you have your grades and your UCAS number. If you've applied through UCAS, you can find your Clearing number in the UCAS Hub, if you haven't yet applied through UCAS, you can contact them to get a Clearing number. One of Chester's friendly Clearing advisers will be able to talk to you about your eligibility for the course you're interested in and answer any questions you have.

If you are made an offer, you'll be sent all the information you need to refer your application. There are also opportunities for you to visit so you can meet staff on the course, see facilities and find out more about areas such as finance, accommodation, careers and more.

1. Check Your Application Status

Already applied through UCAS?

Check the status of your application on UCAS Hub. If you're in Clearing, your Clearing number will be displayed. If your offer is still showing as conditional, contact the university concerned to find out why.

Not yet applied through UCAS?

Contact UCAS to obtain a Clearing number.

2. Check for Vacancies

Check out our course vacancies and read our course profiles. There are a range of single and combined courses available to choose from across a number of subject areas, and you can register your interest now.

Foundation Year options

In addition to our single honours course options, you may find that some courses offer a Foundation Year entry route.

University of Chester Foundation Year degrees have been designed for students who do not have the necessary academic qualifications needed to enter directly onto the first year of a degree, but have the ability and commitment to do so.

Successful completion of the Foundation Year qualifies students to progress onto a full honours degree.

3. Contact the University

Once you've decided on the course you'd like to study, contact us to see if we can make you an offer. Make sure you have your results to hand.

However, our lines will be open for extended hours on the following days:

Friday 14th August: 8am – 6pm

Saturday 15th August: 9am – 5pm

Sunday 16th August: 10am – 4pm

Saturday 22nd August: 9am – 5pm

What happens next when you choose University of Chester through Clearing

1. Refer Your Application

If you're offered a place and you want to accept, log on to UCAS Hub and refer your application by clicking 'Add Clearing choice', and fill in the details. This counts as you definitely accepting the offer. Once we've confirmed your place through UCAS Hub, it will show as an acceptance on your 'Choices' page in UCAS Hub.

Key information:

The UCAS Institution Code for the University of Chester is C55
The name of the course and the course code can be found either on our website, or by searching for the University of Chester on ucas.com
If you wish to apply for a course based at one of the following locations, you may also need the Campus Code:

- University Centre Birkenhead – B

- University Centre Warrington – W

Make sure that you enter the correct Campus Code in the ‘Choices' section of the online application form.

2. Apply for Accommodation

Your confirmation email will include further details on how to apply for accommodation. Once you receive this, simply click on the link and follow the instructions. When applying, you will be asked to select your preferred accommodation type, rather than a specific residence, so it is a good idea to have a budget in mind and prioritise accordingly when making your selection.

3. Update Your Student Finance Application

Don't forget, if you haven't yet completed your Student Finance application, you will need to apply now. Or, if you've already applied but your choice of university or course has changed, you will need to update these details on your online account.
