As a University of Bradford student, you’ll automatically become a member of the University of Bradford Union of Students (UBU). The UBU provides support for students, as well as volunteering opportunities, and lots of clubs and societies to get involved with. UBU also organises events and entertainment for students.
The University of Bradford has lots of groups to get involved with, such as the Ale, Beer and Craft Society, the Baking Society, the Interfaith Society, and many more. Whatever your interests, you’re bound to find a club or society that’s right for you. There are several sports societies too, such as cheerleading, ice hockey and football.
Bradford has a large city centre with many shops, including the new Broadway shopping centre, plus cafes, bars and restaurants. Many new venues have opened up to give the city great nightlife, including Sunbridge Wells; an underground space full of bars and food venues. The Independent Quarter is another fun and energetic area to head to for a selection of bars and cafes. If you enjoy a curry, you’ll love Bradford - it’s been voted the ‘Curry Capital of the UK’.
