Clearing is another chance to secure a place at the University of Bradford for September 2024.
There are many reasons you may decide to go through Clearing, including:
- You've just made the decision to return to education after time away
- You’ve got better grades than expected and want to choose a different course
- You don't get the results needed for your existing offer and want to secure a place on an alternative course
- You want to go to university this year but haven't yet made an application or received an offer
If you decide that you may want to go through Clearing, there are a number of things you can do to prepare:
- Make a list – think about the alternative courses and universities available to you if things don’t go to plan on results day
- Consider your options – make sure you know which courses have places available
- Think about what matters to you – consider what the course and university has to offer and whether this suits your plans
- Be flexible – consider alternative courses that are related to what you want to study
- Be independent – make sure you’re the one speaking to universities on results day
If you don't get the grades you expect there are still options open to you - you may choose to spend your first year at Bradford studying at foundation level.
