Get ahead before Results Day

A little planning now can make Results Day much less stressful.

• Make a shortlist of courses and universities you're interested in.
• Check which courses have places available.
• Think about what matters most to you, from the course and career opportunities to the campus and student life.
• Keep an open mind – you might find a course that's an even better fit.
• Be ready to make the call yourself on Results Day. Universities will need to speak directly to you.

Didn't get the grades you expected?

No drama – just a new direction.

A Foundation Year could help you get where you want to be. With lower entry requirements, it's another route onto university if you don't quite get the grades you hoped for.

You'll spend a year building your subject knowledge, developing your academic skills and growing in confidence before progressing onto your chosen degree. It's the perfect way to prepare for university life and start your degree feeling ready.

Clearing opens on 2 July 2026. If you've already got your results and don't have a university place, you can start applying from then.

If you're waiting for your A level or other Level 3 results, you'll be able to apply through Clearing from Results Day on 13 August 2026.
