Quick info

I had the best 4 years of my life studying at Birmingham - if I were to go back and do it all again, I'd not do a single thing differently. I met loads of new friends. I would recommend Birmingham to anyone who is looking for a vibrant place to study.

With over 16,000 undergraduates and 9,000 postgraduates, it is the largest uni in the West Midlands and the 11th largest in the UK.

The uni has five colleges comprising a number of schools and departments:

●     Arts and Law

●     Engineering and Physical Sciences

●     Life and Environmental Sciences

●     Medical and Dental Sciences

●     Social Sciences

Birmingham is currently investing £500 million into developing world-class facilities. This includes a new sports centre which will be home to the uni’s High Performance Centre for elite athletes. It also includes a new library with over 60 km of shelving for books and journals.

Students say:

“I have loved every second of being at uni, at first it was hard to move away but Birmingham is such a great place. The university has been so welcoming and I enjoy my course so much!”
