Different learning options are available to suit a variety of student needs. A growing number of UCL programmes can be taken on a distance learning basis, whereby some or all of the teaching is delivered online. Please see individual programme entries online.
Distance learning students are assigned a personal tutor, who organises regular contact meetings. Supporting materials such as lecture notes, interactive tools and podcasts can be accessed through the university’s Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). Students can enhance their learning online by interacting with study groups and forums in the VLE. Some programmes require occasional visits to campus.
