University Campus of Football Business (UCFB) is a higher education institute for budding sports professionals. It provides undergraduate programmes that prepare students for careers within the football and sports industry.

Global study hubs
UCFB and GIS students have access to the GIS global study hubs. These are located in some of the world’s most exciting sports destinations. New York’s Red Bull Arena, Atlanta’s brand new Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Toronto FC’s BMO Field and the Melbourne Cricket Ground all play host to week-long GIS Global Summits.

Virtual Open Day
The Virtual Open Day provides an in-depth insight into life at UCFB and GIS – ideal for when it’s not possible to visit the campus in person. Students can discover further about the unique programmes on offer, the iconic campus locations and important details about areas including accommodation and student finance.
At UCFB, over 90% of students are in employment within six months of graduation. Almost two thirds of those are working within the football and sports industry.
In addition, 92% of master’s graduates are in employment within six months, where 82% work in football and sport.
Graduates work at the likes of the Football Association, Manchester United, Leicester City, the Rugby Football League and EDP Soccer in the US.
UCFB also features the Guest Speaker Series. This forms part of a wider Award in Football & Sports Leadership, where students build towards fruitful careers. They have the unique opportunity of obtaining additional skills and qualifications such as networking, public speaking, match commentary and sports analytics, as part of the Award.
Students also benefit from a number of industry partnerships, which include the Football Association, League Managers Association and the National League, to name a few.
UCFB and GIS offer unique on-campus, online and blended undergraduate and master’s degree programmes. These are specifically tailored to football and sport, with subjects ranging from Football Business & Finance to Multimedia Sports Journalism.

UCFB and GIS have partnered with two accommodation providers, where students live somewhere comfortable, secure and close to campus.
Unite Students 1st Way, Wembley, and Mill Point, Manchester are available for students studying at UCFB and GIS in 2020/21.
In partnership with Unite Students, Unite Students 1st Way offers UCFB Wembley students vibrant and safe centrally-located student accommodation. In the heart of Wembley, which is home to the world-famous football stadium and newly built retail outlet centre, this accommodation is a short tube ride away from the property.
Students in this accommodation benefit from having UCFB and GIS' teaching, study and social facilities located within the property. In addition, the accommodation offers students a plethora of different room styles available to suit different requirements, as well as everything that’s needed for an enjoyable student experience.
UCFB Etihad Campus
UCFB and GIS partners with Unite Students at Mill Point, formerly named Liberty Point. Students can expect to live in the heart of Manchester, in vibrant and safe accommodation.
Mill Point is a huge residence which makes it easy for settling in and making new friends with others from all over the globe. Students are close to the UCFB Etihad Campus as well as being based in a central location that’s surrounded by lots of fun things to do.
UCFB and GIS boast excellent facilities, giving students a truly authentic experience. This includes two world-renowned stadiums that are at the heart of the campuses.
Learners at the institute benefit from behind-the-scenes access, where they can see how an everyday sporting venue works. They’re also able to experience the living environment they’re studying towards with the multitude of facilities UCFB and GIS has to offer.
UCFB and GIS students have the opportunity to study at pioneering campuses in two of the UK’s most vibrant cities, London and Manchester. Both UCFB campuses contain the iconic Wembley and Etihad stadiums at their hearts.
UCFB Wembley, London
London is the epitome of a world city. It’s regularly regarded as one of the most desirable places to work in the world, the ‘capital of Europe’, and one of the most popular global destinations for tourists.
The proximity to central London is another reason why plenty of students opt to study at the Wembley campus. They can easily access the underground’s Metropolitan Line which gets them to famous attractions in a speedy 20 minutes.
UCFB Etihad Campus, Manchester
Moving further north, Manchester offers something for everyone, with its growing student body and truly cosmopolitan feel. The city is a popular choice for an exciting student experience due to its famous music scene, festivals and museums that cater to a wide range of interests.

The UCFB Athletic Union enables UCFB and GIS students to participate in a number of sports alongside their studies. UCFB is inclusive of both male and female student teams in various sports including football, netball, rugby and basketball.
A number of teams compete in the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) leagues and tournaments. BUCS is the leading organiser of competitive activity among higher education institutions.
Students are taken care of at every stage of their journey with UCFB and GIS. The institution boasts pastoral care and personal development services that all learners have access to.
They also benefit from a personal tutor who ensures they’re supported throughout their studies, whether it be for their personal or academic development.
UCFB and GIS’ tuition fees are currently as follows:
Undergraduate Blended: £9,250 for Home students, £9,250 for international students.
Postgraduate Online & Blended: £10,950 for Home students. £10,950 for international students
MSc Sports Directorship: £17,500 per year.
Means-tested bursaries assist undergraduate applicants who require financial support for their studies. There are awards available for those studying at both the Wembley and Etihad campuses.
Students at the Wembley campus with Home/EU classified status, and a household income lower than £40,000, can apply for a means-tested bursary. There are a limited number of awards worth up to £3,000 available.
UCFB Etihad Campus
Similarly, those at the Etihad campus with Home/EU classified status, and a household income lower than £30,000, can apply for a means-tested bursary. There are a limited number of awards worth up to £2,000 available.
There are several additional scholarships that recognise a range of achievements. This could be for, for example, outstanding female applicants, elite athletes and aspiring media personnel.
