Swansea’s Student Services offer professional and personal support to students in a variety of areas during their studies, including careers and employability, health and wellbeing, disability and finance, as well as a special advisory service for international students.
Students have access to academic support through the Centre for Academic Success to improve study skills, attend workshops and sign up to courses to help them reach their goals.
For medical advice, students should head to the University Health Centre, an NHS General Medical Practice, located on campus.
The university also has dedicated disability coordinators within each faculty to support students with additional needs. Make sure to inform the university of any special adjustments you may need before applying.
Many Swansea students praise the level of support on offer at the university, both in and outside lecture halls as well as on and off campus.
Swansea University Students on Postgraduate Search say:
“The university was so supportive and helped me going through my struggles with counselling and extension.”
“I highly value Swansea University for its student support and there are many opportunities for growth.”
“All staff are approachable and want to help offer advice and support you in your learning.”
“The Uni is very open and have many support teams that are invested in students development.”
