The Solent University bursary

Academic merit scholarships (UK and International)
This scholarship is worth between £500 and £2,000, this scholarship rewards applicants who have demonstrated outstanding academic ability in their final school or college exam results. The university also offers a scholarship to full-time overseas, EEA and EU students who exceed the entry criteria for their course.
The Lisa Wilson scholarship
Set-up in memory of their daughter, Lisa, the Wilson family developed this scholarship with Solent to help young people with the cost of higher education.
There are four scholarships for new students applying to FdA, HND or BA/BSc degree courses. The scholarships, up to the value of £1,000 are available to students who have overcome adversity and can demonstrate why they need extra financial help with their studies.
These are awarded to athletes competing in a variety of sports at a national level and above, including - but not exclusively - basketball, cricket, football and athletics. The university scholarship offers in this area range from performance club offers to up to £5,000. As a scholar, students can expect to receive financial assistance towards academic fees and be able to take advantage of a support package worth up to £2,500. Academic fees are covered at 100% or 50% by the university for each successful applicant.
