Read honest reviews from real students at this uni
Our students belong to a thriving and diverse community, right in the heart of Southampton. We offer everyone the freedom to achieve, explore and experiment –whatever your background – and our graduates go on to make waves all around the world.
With gold-rated teaching, real-world learning, industry-standard facilities and outstanding opportunities to develop your industry connections, Southampton Solent is a fantastic place to kickstart your career.
Employability is our priority, and to this end, we've invested £123m in developing Solent's campus into an industry-standard learning hub. From our virtual production stage – advanced tech used to film The Mandalorian and major blockbusters – to a fully-equipped Bloomberg business suite, a BASES-accredited biomechanics lab and professional-grade photography, television and recording studios, our investment in cutting-edge facilities gives you hands-on skills with the latest industry-grade technology.
Going to university isn't just about what you study, it's about where you live. Southampton is the largest city on the south coast, big enough to be buzzing but not so big that you're lost in it all. It's a hub of growth and innovation that's home to both some of the UK's most successful companies and independent rising stars – the perfect place to build experience and connections.
And don't take our word for it. Southampton was voted one of the top ten places to live in StudentCrowd's Best Student Cities survey – so when it comes to setting down roots and kicking off your career, opportunities are plentiful.
