Solent University’s London Campus is ideally located in Farringdon, a lively area set between the city’s’ thrumming financial district and all the attractions of the West End.
Here, you can study Bachelor’s degrees in subjects from Business Management to International Tourism. These courses all come with a built-in foundation year.

You can choose from three undergraduate degrees at the London campus. Each courses features a foundation year, which means they’re four years in length. There are start dates available throughout the year: you can begin your degree in January, May or September.
Although Solent’s London Campus doesn’t have its own Students’ Union, there are plenty of facilities for students to socialise on campus, including comfortable lounges and study spaces. Your location in central London also means that you’ll have plenty of student-friendly pubs and activities to choose from.
Solent’s London Campus doesn’t have its own accommodation, but you’ll still have plenty of options. You can use websites like Gumtree and Spareroom to find shared accommodation and search for your ideal flatmates too.
London also has lots of private student halls of residence to choose from. Here, you’ll be able to live and socialise with students from different universities in London, and choose from options including en-suite bedrooms in a shared flat or your own studio apartment.
The main building has modern, well-equipped classrooms and social areas with sofas and ping pong tables when you need to take a break. There’s also free WiFi and a library where you can get down to some serious studying.
The recently-built Student Hub is also full of great amenities, including PCs, printing services and lockers, an IT centre, quiet learning spaces and social spaces. The Hub is also where you’ll find the careers and employability area and the Academic Community Excellence (ACE) team.
In London, the world is your oyster – literally! Buy an Oyster card and you’ll be able to travel all over the city using the extensive network of 24-hour trains and buses. Use them to explore London’s museums and galleries, many of which are free to enter, or spend the day sunbathing in one of the eight Royal Parks.
If you’re in the mood for some retail therapy, visit the Westfield Shopping Centre or visit the famous Oxford Street. You’ll find designer brands and luxury boutiques on Bond Street, or wander down Carnaby Street for some quirky finds.
There are plenty of places to eat and drink, both near to the campus and all over the city, from cafes and coffee shops to pubs, bars and clubs, and restaurants and takeaways serving cuisine from around the globe.
You won’t be short on things to do in London town – from book clubs to knitting societies, it’s easy to find people with similar interests. You can check community message boards or Facebook groups to find like-minded people, and you’re bound to meet fellow students in the campus social spaces too!
If you’re into sports, there are clubs all over London that you can join, from friendly matches to league sports. There many free-to-use public sports pitches in London, as well as tennis and basketball courts. You can also use your student status to get discounted membership at one of London’s hundreds of gyms.

Fees are £9,250 per year for UK and EU students, and you’ll need about £200 a year to cover the cost of your course books too.

Solent University has a number of scholarships you can apply for, from the Undergraduate Merit Scholarship to a Top-Up Scholarship. There are also scholarships available for EU and international students in the form of fee discounts. Not all may be available to students at satellite campuses; consult the University’s website for details.
Solent in London excels in Management. In fact, all three of the undergraduate degrees you can study at the campus are Management focused: Business Management, Events Management and International Tourism Management.
You’ll need a minimum of 48 UCAS points to enrol on any of the undergraduate degrees at Solent’s London centre, as well as GCSE English at level 4 or above. Additionally, you’ll need GSCE Mathematics at level 3 or above, and international students will generally need IELTS from 5.5, or can sit the QA Higher Education English test if they prefer.
