Sheffield Hallam provided more than £5m in financial support for students in 2020-2021. The following scholarships are available for 2021-22.
Student success scholarship
Up to £2,000 and priority access is available for programmes designed to support wellbeing, develop employability, and enhance money management skills. Students could be eligible for a number of reasons, for example, if they have a low household income, have caring responsibilities, are leaving local authority care, are disabled or are transgender.
Care leaver bursary
Those leaving care are guaranteed a support package of £3,500 for every taught year of their course.
Performance athletes support programme
Up to £3,000 and a comprehensive support package is available for those who compete in sports at the highest level.
The student funding and access support team provides emergency financial support for students with particular needs. It works closely with the Students’ Union to offer information and advice about funding.

The university continues to work hard to ensure that all students are able to cover the costs of their studies and gain the maximum benefit for their investment.
Sheffield Hallam’s tuition fees for UK students starting full-time undergraduate courses in 2022 are £9,250 per year.
Those who choose to study a course beginning in 2022 with a placement year will pay a reduced fee of £1,200 during the placement year.

Students don’t have to pay anything upfront. They only start paying back when they’re earning at least £25,725. Up to £9,203 is available in funding to help eligible students with living costs.
