QMUL understands the challenges which postgraduate students can face when embarking upon a degree course in London, especially for those who have moved cities or countries to start a new life. The university is proud to provide a wide range of different support services for postgraduate students to access.
This can include academic support such as thesis writing, study methods and extra tuition where needed, and can also include logistical support such as visa and immigration advice, and financial aid through the form of scholarships, bursaries and grants.
Health and wellbeing are strongly encouraged, and there is free and confidential advice and counselling services available to all postgraduate students, to ensure that they have the personal support network required to study in comfort and confidence. Disability and learning difficulty support is also readily available, and the student’s union is often the first point of contact to be introduced to these services.
Queen Mary University of London students on Postgraduate Search say:
“The faculty is top notch and the admin is extremely supportive and helpful.”
“Lecturers are generally very responsive and accommodating to student questions.”
