The QMUL Student’s Union (QMSU) is a student-run organisation of which all enrolled students become members. The student’s union fulfils many roles within the university, including acting as the representational voice of the student community, communicating between organisational staff and students, campaigning for student issues and providing advice and services. Medicine and dentistry students will also become a member of the Barts and London Students’ Association (BLSA).
In addition to guidance and advice, the union also co-ordinates the running of social spaces, gyms, shops, cafes, bars and restaurants, and organises a lively timetable of events and social activities for all QMUL students. The union is run by elected student course representatives, part-time officers, and executive officers who take a year out from studies to take up a full-time position in the union.
