We use cookies for three reasons: to give you the best experience on Whatuni, to make sure the Whatuni ads you see on other sites are relevant, and to measure website usage. Some of these cookies are necessary to help the site work properly and can't be switched off. Cookies also support us to provide our services for free, and by clicking "Accept" below, you are agreeing to our use of cookies. You can manage your preferences now or at any time.
We use cookies, which are small text files placed on your computer, to allow the site to work for you, improve your user experience, to provide us with information about how our site is used, and to deliver personalised ads which help fund our work and deliver our service to you for free.
The information does not usually directly identify you, but it can give you a more personalised web experience.
You can accept all, or else manage cookies individually. However, blocking some types of cookies may affect your experience of the site and the services we are able to offer.
You can change your cookies preference at any time by visiting our Cookies Notice page. Please remember to clear your browsing data and cookies when you change your cookies preferences. This will remove all cookies previously placed on your browser.
For more detailed information about the cookies we use, or how to clear your browser cookies data see our Cookies Notice

The University Hardship Fund (UHF)
Students who are struggling financially can apply to this fund for some extra help. The amount of money offered to students through this fund will vary depending on the personal circumstances of the applicant.
While fees can vary depending on the type of course studied and a student’s personal circumstances, the normal fees that apply are £9,250 per year for undergraduate and foundation degrees for UK-based students, and £12,500 per year for non-UK students.
Foundation degrees with work-based routes cost a little less, at £6,000 per year for UK students (they are not available to international applicants).
Students in the UK are able to apply for financial help in the form of a tuition fee loan. This loan covers the entirety of the tuition fees, subject to eligibility, and is only repayable once the student has reached a minimum salary level.
Any students who want to avoid the loan route and wish to pay off their fees during their course are also able to arrange a payment plan so that they can pay instalments at various points throughout the academic year.
