Oxford Brookes offers a range of accommodation options to suit all preferences and budgets with more than 4,000 self-catered, single study bedrooms and 130 studio apartments in their many student halls of residence. The university guarantees placement to all students who confirm Brookes as their first-choice university, ensuring a room in one of the five hall choices available for selection.

The majority of rooms are en-suite, and residents will typically live in a flat with about five other students, sharing a kitchen and living space. The university also offers flats with shared bathrooms which are cheaper. All rooms have high-speed internet.

There are also a number of university-managed houses for those who prefer a smaller residence, and the Accommodation Team can give advice to students wishing to find housing locally in the private rental sector.

Facilities

The university’s Headington Campus is a contemporary complex of modern architectural design and high-quality teaching facilities, providing everything needed for academic and personal success, located within convenient walking distance.

The award-winning John Henry Brookes Building is at the centre of the main campus, featuring a state-of-the-art library which is open 24 hours a day during term time, and contains hundreds of thousands of books, journals and academic resources, as well as a digital research database and specialist collections such as the Booker Prize Archive.

There are specialist workshops for students of engineering, computer science and digital media, as well as industry-standard healthcare and life science facilities. Brookes Sport offers opportunities for everyone, with facilities including a gym, swimming pool, climbing wall, and regulation-size sports pitches for university fixtures.
