Northumbria offers many scholarships to UK, EU and International students. Recent examples include:
Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship: 50 scholarships, worth £2,750 in fee discounts. Applicants must submit an answer to the question: ‘How will being awarded a Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship prepare you for the challenges of a constantly changing world?’
Santander University Scholarship: 20 scholarships, worth £2,000 are available for eligible Northumbria undergraduate students choosing to continue their postgraduate education with Northumbria.
Agile Business Consortium Scholarship: Three scholarships – worth £1,000 – are awarded to chosen students who have been accepted on to a selection of Project Management-related courses. Students must submit a response to the question: ‘The great debate: to be or not to be agile?’
Bar Course Scholarship: Five scholarships, providing a full waiver of the course fees, are open to Bar Course students.
Legal Practice Fee Discount: Legal Practice Postgraduate Diploma (LPC) or LLM in Legal Practice students are eligible for a £500 fee discount.
Northumbria Global Scholarship: All self-funded international students on full-time postgraduate taught or research courses will receive a £2,000 fee discount.
Postgraduate Sanctuary Scholarship: Three outstanding international students will receive a full waiver of course fees and £1,000 per year towards living costs.

Course fees for students on master’s and other postgraduate courses vary and depend on the type of course being studied and the study mode. Full information on exact course fees can be found on each individual course page on the university’s website.
The university offers an interest-free payment plan for UK students whose tuition fees are not paid by a sponsor. It also offers a range of discounts, including an alumni discount of 20% on postgraduate tuition fees. Often scholarships and other fee discounts are announced throughout the year, so it’s worthwhile checking the university’s website for up-to-date information. The Government’s Postgraduate Loan is also available to eligible students on most master’s programmes.
The university also offers 100 funded PhD studentships, which not only cover all tuition fees but pay a salary to cover living costs. Full information on the types of studentships available and how to apply can be found on the university’s website.
