Norland students benefit from access to the Bath Spa University Students’ Union, meaning all clubs and societies are open to both Norland and Bath Spa students.
Clubs include charity and campaigning societies, academic societies, sports clubs and interest-based societies.

Norland partners with Todo el Mundo to provide Spanish lessons to Norland students. As the second most-spoken language in the world, Spanish offers professional possibilities for students, and the lessons aim to improve study techniques and memory too.
Sign language is also offered as an additional course option for Norland students, through a 15-week Makaton course. Makaton is used alongside speech in the form of signs and symbols to help young children communicate whilst still developing their spoken language.
Community and charitable engagement is an important and enjoyable aspect of life at Norland, which is dedicated to transforming the lives of children and families. Students run an active charity committee and participate in local and national fundraising efforts.
Bath is a popular student city and has lots to offer. There’s a huge range of restaurants, museums, clubs, cafés, bars, shops and galleries throughout the city, and Bath lives up to its reputation as a good eatery spot.
The Theatre Royal, one of the oldest of its kind in the UK, welcomes famous actors from all over and is a great spot to catch a performance or two.
Bath is a fantastic place to relax too, not just with its scenery and culture, but as a spa town and centre for wellbeing. The Thermae Bath Spa is the only natural hot spring spa in the country.
The centre of Bath isn’t far from Norland’s main campus – a 15-minute walk or short bus ride will bring you into all the action.
