Faculty of Professional and Social Sciences
The Faculty of Professional and Social Sciences – made up of the Business School, School of Law and School of Health and Education – focuses on social justice and making the world a safer and better place for everyone. The European Human Rights Advocacy Centre (EHRAC), which sits within the School of Law for example, launched a project to promote and restore international legal standards in Crimea working with its Regional Centre. The Faculty continues to boast strong links with businesses and public sector bodies, it provides practical real-world learning that prepares students to become change makers and to create and share their knowledge between the professional and academic worlds.
Faculty of Science and Technology
The Faculty of Science and Technology boasts world-class research in areas including public health and biomarkers and the Centre for Investigative and Diagnostic Oncology has pioneered techniques for cancer detection and treatments. The teaching and research facilities include a £3 million lab with cutting-edge technology.
In sports and exercise science, the Faculty builds clinical placements into the study programme for all students who spend 150 hours on placement during the course. The London Sports Institute at Middlesex is based at Allianz Park home to Saracens RFC and allows students access to elite athletes in top of the range biomechanics and physiology labs.
