Manchester Met offers a whole range of specialist services to help you achieve your very best. The Study Skills team is available either online or on-campus through short courses, group workshops and one-to-one appointments, it’s a way for you to get help with academic writing and numeracy, or if you have specific learning difficulties.
The Counselling, Mental Health and Wellbeing Service offer support via one-to-one appointments, group workshops on topics like relaxation, stress and confidence, as well as access to our online platform Togetherall which is available 24/7. MMU Sport also offer support with your fitness through our free Active Campus Programme and Mcr Met Moves app where you can earn rewards for getting active. There is also a chaplaincy team, who offer pastoral support and quiet spaces for prayer or reflection, open to those of all faiths or non-faith.
The Disability Service ensure students are not disadvantaged in their studies as a result of their disability, health condition, or Specific Learning Difficulty. They provide advice about the resources that are available within the University and from external agencies. If you have any support needs, get in touch before your course begins to get the best possible support.
The Language Centre can help international students, with British Council-accredited intensive courses in academic English.
