London by day
There is so much to see and do in London, from world famous art galleries, iconic museums, historic buildings like St Paul's Cathedral, Buckingham Palace and the Tower of London, and places of modern pilgrimage like Abbey Road, Banksy's street art and the Shard's viewing platform.
More than 40% of London is green space, so there's always a leafy park to spend an afternoon in. The Southbank is a wonderful place for a gentle stroll by the river, while the Thames Path offers the chance to cover a bit more distance, with plenty of riverside pubs along the way.
London by night
The glittering West End, hipster Hoxton, edgy Camden – everywhere you look there's something going on. With great theatre, world famous nightclubs and an endless array of restaurants to choose from, deciding what to do first will be your biggest problem. Although the world's celebrities flock here to party, there's a vibrant underground music scene too and it’s more than possible to have fun on a budget.
Student societies are a great way to make friends and experience new things. At The London Institute of Banking & Finance, they have student societies focusing on:
