The Students' Union offers a variety of events, clubs, societies and support open to all LJMU students no matter what their level of study. These include a range of sporting clubs, social groups and those more tailored to academia, helping students to find support and friendships with others who share their interests.
Liverpool John Moores Students’ Union represents all 20,000 students enrolled at the institution. Any students who need extra support, or who feel like they need an intermediary to help them tackle an issue with the main university faculty, can find help at the SU. It also has places to meet up with friends and study together.
The Students’ Union runs over 100 clubs and societies for students to explore and join.
These are a mix of academic, social, political, charitable and sporting clubs and societies, which give students a huge range of choice when it comes to enhancing their life at the university. All clubs and societies welcome students of all ages, including postgraduates.
Joining clubs and societies also helps to develop other skills that are useful in future employability, including teamwork, confidence and leadership. Students have the chance to learn more about the clubs during their first weeks, meeting current members, and deciding which ones they wish to join.
