Over 96% (HESA 2018) of LJMU postgraduates are in work or further study six months after graduation. LJMU has close relationships with local, national and international businesses enabling postgraduate students to make useful contacts in their field. Industry experts join academics to deliver business-relevant course content, preparing students for life in the workplace.
The Careers team is split between different Career Zones, located in each faculty. The team has Careers Advisers as well as Employability Advisers, who specialize in helping with subjects around applying for jobs, including writing personal statements and CVs, interview techniques, how to secure work placements, options for postgraduate study and more.
Each school also publishes a Career Planning Guide every year, which students can pick up and use as an extra resource for finding future work.
