The Student Welfare Team can help you access impartial and confidential advice and guidance on a wide range of issues, from personal counselling to finance and accommodation. There’s also a study support service, which includes assistance for students with dyslexia or other learning difficulties.
Student reviewers that had used the service were incredibly positive about it, and gave it such high ratings that the university came second in this category for the third year running at the Whatuni Student Choice Awards 2019.
Leeds Arts University students on Whatuni say:
“Both supportive and friendly and welcoming and tutors check personal wellbeing as well so nothing is overlooked.”
“Really good. I think especially on the counselling side there’s always an open door if you need anything.”
“Very good. They are constantly on the lookout for students and I am very happy for this. The staff are all very approachable and the students welfare team always have an open door. Literally.”
“Student support from tutors, peers and student welfare and staff is excellent and there is always someone to help.”
