In place of a traditional student union, there is the LCCM Student Committee. This is made up of elected individuals from all levels of study at the college, and its purpose is to represent the student voice and organise a calendar of activities and events to be enjoyed throughout the year.

LCCM charges tuition fees to domestic undergraduate students at the following rates:
UK students studying on eligible courses can apply for a student loan from Student Finance England to cover the cost of their tuition fees.

LCCM offers six undergraduate degree programmes, all validated by its partner institution, the University for the Creative Arts (UCA). UCA is one of the top specialist arts universities in the UK and was ranked Silver overall in the Teaching Excellence Framework (2023).

Undergraduate degrees are typically three years in length when studied full time, though some courses offer an integrated foundation year for students who require additional support or musical skill development.
Courses are taught by industry-leading lecturers and teaching staff, all of whom are experts in their fields. This includes musicians, producers, and music business executives. Classes are kept purposefully small, ensuring that students receive a bespoke education in keeping with their personal interests and ambitions.

Since its inception in 2002, LCCM has endeavoured to create a new and modern approach to teaching contemporary popular music.
