The CYM campus is located in Nottingham at Trent Vineyard Church, and although there isn’t a Students’ Union in the usual university sense, the students are actively encouraged to form a supportive community through informal social activities and an organised programme of regular chapel to support collective worship and spiritual formation.
Every student is assigned a chaplain and personal tutor to meet with on a regular basis; this helps to encourage and support students in their own spiritual, academic and professional journeys. As CYM is a non-denominational college, its students come from diverse settings – this diversity of denominations creates an enriching experience for many students.
Nottingham is a vibrant city with a multicultural and multifaith population, and lots of things to do for young people. There are arts venues, shopping districts, music concerts and many sporting events, with plenty of cafes and restaurants around town.
Nottingham is generally a safe city, with low crime rates overall. The CYM campus is located in Lenton Abbey, which is statistically the safest ward within the city, and students can feel assured that the school’s campus allows them the peace of mind to meet and study in comfort and security. The campus itself is well located within the city, and well serviced by public transport networks.
