1. Do your research
Spending some time researching courses now will mean you're ahead of the game when you receive your exam results. Explore courses at Goldsmiths.
2. Consider the location
You'll be studying at university for three years or more, so make sure the place you choose is somewhere you'll be happy.
3. Visit the campus if you can…
If you get the chance, it's a good idea to visit the university you're interested in.
4.…and if you can't, find out more on social media
YouTube and Instagram are great ways to get a feel for a university, even if you can't visit in person.
5. Feel free to ask questions
If you have any questions about the course or uni, there's still time to get them answered. Goldsmiths has a Course Enquiries team available 9am to 5pm through live chat on our website until A-level results day.
6. Stay calm
Speaking to a stranger over the phone can sometimes be a little nerve-wracking. But our Clearing Team is made up of friendly specialists who are looking forward to putting you at ease.
7. Take your time
If you're offered a Clearing place, great news! But you don't need to make a snap decision. Feel free to take a little time to consider your options.
8. Accept your place
So you've been offered a place and you'd like to accept it – that's fantastic! There will just be a few steps you'll need to take to accept your offer, so read your offer email carefully for instructions.
9. Try not to worry
Clearing can be a stressful time, and it might feel like there's a lot of pressure on you to make the right decision. But try not to worry. Even if you don't get the grades you expected, there will be options open to you. Things will be OK.
If you're offered a place at Goldsmiths and you'd like to accept it – that's fantastic! There will just be a few steps you'll need to take to accept your offer, including logging into UCAS Hub and nominating your preferred Clearing choice. There will be more instructions about how and when to do this in your offer email. Once you've done this, your Clearing place will be confirmed, and you'll be sent information about enrolment and Welcome Week.
