Scholarships and funding

There are a number of scholarships and bursaries available through Escape Studios and their associated partners, which is the perfect way to supplement the costs of tuition and living.

The institution has shaped the awards in partnership with iconic professionals to offer a unique opportunity to be hand-picked by some of the biggest names in the industry. Every applicant is also considered for an Escape Studios scholarship as part of the Creative Workshop (part of the application process) and this can lead to students’ entire tuition fees being paid in full.

Paul Franklin won the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects due to this work on Inception, in addition to a BAFTA Award for Best Special Visual Effects.

(BA/MArt) The Eamonn Butler Art of Computer Animation Scholarship

As Head of Animation at Double Negative he worked on box office hits such as Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Iron Man 2 and Edge of Tomorrow.

Her career has seen her grow from a junior artist to her current role as a member of the PlayStation London studio management team, responsible for the art discipline within her studio.

For students commencing undergraduate studies, all Escape Studios undergraduate course fees are aligned to the Office for Students higher fee limit, which has been confirmed as £9,250 for 2022/23 entrants.

Tuition fees for a course at Escape Studios do not change during the academic year, but prospective students should be aware that fees may vary between years due to possible government adjustment to tuition fee rates.

It is common for students to pay for their undergraduate fees through a Student Finance loan, which will allow them to defer the costs of studying to later in their careers when they earn above a certain income threshold. Applicants are encouraged to check their eligibility for tuition fee and maintenance loans prior to making their application.
