Edge Hill has a wide range of scholarships and bursaries to offer to both prospective and current students.
Department for Education Bursaries
Students joining a PGCE in Secondary Computer Science and Information Technology, Secondary Mathematics or Secondary Science (Biology) may be eligible for a Department for Education bursary worth £7,000-£24,000. Students must have a first class, 2:1 or 2:2 honours degree or have successfully completed a PhD or Masters award.
Teacher Training Scholarships
Students joining a PGCE in Secondary Computer Science and IT or Secondary Mathematics may be eligible to apply to the relevant subject association for a Teacher Training Scholarship. They are worth £26,000 and have a competitive application process. If awarded, students will no longer be eligible for a DfE bursary.
Prospective PGCE students can apply for a scholarship of £1,000. They are awarded to those who demonstrate determination, commitment and achievement outside of their studies, for instance in creativity, enterprise, performance or volunteering.
Prospective PGCE students can apply for a sports scholarship to help develop sporting performance worth up to £1,000. They are awarded for those talented at sport or coaching ability.
Tuition fees for postgraduate study vary depending on the qualification and faculty delivering the programme.
Full-time UK students per year: £5,580 - £6,300 (MA/MSc); £11,160 (MBA); £1,860 (PGCert); £9,250 (PGCE); £4,300 (LLM/MRes); £4,350 (PhD)
MSc Midwifery, MSc Nursing Pathways and PGCert Nursing Pathways are all £9,250 per annum. Professional Doctorates are available on a part-time basis at £2,900 for 2021/22.
International Students per year: £13,500 (PGCE/MA/MSc/MRes/LLM); £14,050 (MBA); £13,750 (PhD)
