To help students maintain balance and cope with the pressures of work and study, The Dyson Institute has dedicated support in place.
All students will have access to academic support. The academic team offer guidance and help with any issues relating to lectures, exams or assignments. Students also have access to a dedicated apprenticeship tutor who they can talk to about any issues with the work-based learning aspect of the programme.
In addition, students can speak to their undergraduate ‘Parent’ – a student from the year above who can answer any new students’ questions about the institute and can help them settle into campus life.
The Student Support Advisors (SSA) are there to support students’ health and general wellbeing. With one SSA per year group, they can offer personalised, practical guidance and emotional support for a wide range of issues.
