The Dyson Institute Undergraduate Experience Committee organises opportunities for the undergraduates to relax, have fun, and socialise.
There are a number of sports clubs and societies available to join, covering interests such as art, diving, classic cars, games, walking, sailing, surfing, and ice skating.
Dyson also has plenty of one-off campus events to help encourage creativity and collaboration amongst staff and students, including charity fundraisers and competitive competitions. Past events have included pumpkin carving challenges, fancy dress competitions and charity bike rides.
The Dyson Institute is located in Wiltshire, in the heart of the beautiful Cotswolds area of the English countryside.
The local town of Malmesbury is steeped in history (it's home to what’s said to be the oldest hotel in England, dating back to 1220). Students can spend their weekends exploring Malmesbury or nearby Tetbury’s medieval streets, with independent and high street shops, farmers’ markets, and restaurants and pubs catering to all tastes and budgets.
Nature lovers will find plenty of things to do in the local area, including beautiful walking, hiking, and cycling routes across the spectacular Cotswolds countryside. The campus is also close to the vibrant cities of Bath and Bristol, both of which have large student populations, plenty of culture, and fantastic nightlife.
