We're one of only a few universities where students benefit from our innovative block teaching method, where you master one subject at a time, with regular assessment and feedback, delivering deeper learning, and better results. A simplified timetable also gives you space to study, connect with your tutors, and build strong relationships with your coursemates.

Have your UCAS ID, GCSE and Level 3 results to hand if you have them - don’t worry if you don’t have them yet, you can still call us and we can still help.
Remember that Clearing is a great opportunity to secure a place on a course that is right for you and will help you reach your goals.
DMU Priority Clearing
We'll be making Priority Clearing offers from 10 June, giving you a chance to explore your options early and secure a place before results day, and before UCAS Clearing opens.
Dates to remember
30 June - deadline for submitting your UCAS application for the standard process. After this, applications will go into Clearing. If you've used your five choices and don't hold an offer, you can still submit an additional choice through UCAS Extra.
4 July - UCAS Extra closes. This is the final chance to apply for another course if you've used all five of your choices and have not had or have not accepted any offers.
5 July - UCAS Clearing opens. Get in touch with us, talk about your options and get a conditional offer. You can add DMU as your Clearing choice in UCAS Hub and we'll confirm your offer. If you're holding any other offers, you'll need to release yourself from this institution before you are able to add your Clearing offer from DMU.
14 August – Results Day. The big day! Call us early and have your results to hand. This will make it easier to see if you meet the entry requirements for the courses you're interested in.
20 October – Clearing closes. We recommend exploring your options as early as possible as it gives you more choice of courses to apply for, and means you won't miss out on things like your preferred accommodation and Freshers' Week.
If you've received a Clearing offer over the phone, we will then follow this up with a confirmation email. Please make sure you check your inbox, including your junk folder, as it includes very important information.
The confirmation email will detail the next steps you'll need to take and dates for when you need to do this by. This will usually include providing proof of any qualifications you mentioned over the phone and selecting DMU and the relevant course as your Clearing choice through the UCAS Hub.
In some instances, there may be other conditions attached, such as submission of an electronic portfolio – you will be advised of this in your phone conversation and it will also be detailed in the email you receive from us.
You can start thinking about accommodation at this point to ensure you get your preferred room. DMU offers guaranteed accommodation to all first-year undergraduate students, so there's one less thing for you to worry about.
