Brunel University of London Clearing guide

Clearing opens on 2 July 2026. If you have any questions or you'd like to have a chat, call our Admissions team - Monday - Friday, 9.30am – 4.30pm (Tuesdays from 10am). Or, if you've got your results already, you can apply to Brunel online.

On Results Day, Thursday 13 August 2026, call our Clearing hotline where our dedicated Clearing team will be answering your calls from 8am. Remember to have your results and UCAS Personal ID number when you call. We'll try to help you find a place on a course that suits you and if we can, we'll make you an offer straight away over the phone.

We offer guaranteed accommodation on our London campus for all Clearing students.

Throughout July and August, we're running campus tours. Our friendly student ambassadors will guide you around campus, where you'll get to see our teaching space in the Lecture Centre, visit our award-winning library, and take a look. On Friday 14 August 2026, we're holding an Open Day for students wishing to join us in September. This includes a campus tour and a chance to view the halls of residence – find out more on our events page.

What happens next when you choose Brunel University of London through Clearing

If we're able to make you an offer, we'll send you an email confirmation which is valid for 24 hours. You'll then need to go onto UCAS to confirm this offer. We'll also send you details of the next steps you need to take.

It's also a good idea to see if you're eligible for student finance, which can help with tuition fees and living costs at university.

We'll also invite you to Welcome Week which is a great opportunity for you to meet with other new students as well as getting to know what life is like on campus. There'll be a range of activities where you can meet your lecturers, get to know the campus, learn about the range of societies on offer and socialise with your course mates.

Business Computing with Placement

The best aspects of my university experience have been the sense of community and the opportunities for personal and academic growth. My course is taught by passionate lecturers who make the subject feel relevant and engaging, and I’ve appreciated how approachable most staff are when I need help. There are also plenty of extracurricular activities and societies, which made it easy to meet people with similar interests. The campus facilities—like the library, study spaces, and wellbeing services—have also been a big part of what makes it a great place to study. In terms of what could be improved, there are a few key areas. Communication between departments could sometimes be clearer, especially around deadlines and timetable changes. At busy times of the year, access to study spaces can become limited, and more quiet areas or longer opening hours would make a difference. It would also help if there were more practical, hands-on learning opportunities such as placements, workshops, or industry links, as these really enhance understanding and employability. Overall, the university offers a supportive and stimulating environment, but with better organisation and more resources during peak periods, the student experience could be even stronger.

Biomedical Sciences

Brunel is a great place to study for several key reasons. Firstly, its career-focused approach is truly excellent; the support from the Professional Development Centre and the strong emphasis on placements in nearly all courses provide an invaluable head start for my future. Secondly, the single-site campus is a major benefit, fostering a genuine sense of community where everything is easily accessible, from the 24-hour library to the fantastic sports facilities. This makes the transition into university life seamless and creates a vibrant, inclusive atmosphere. To improve, I would suggest focusing on campus facilities. Specifically, improving the reliability and speed of the Wi-Fi in student accommodations is a basic need that sometimes falls short. Additionally, a greater variety of affordable food and drink options around campus, perhaps through the addition of more pop-up vendors, would enhance the daily student experience.
