BIMM Institute understands the importance of creating a healthy balance of academic and social life. With the BIMM Student Association (BSA), students will find a variety of activities and events to get involved with. From quiz nights including the lecturers vs students quiz and five-a-side football, to societies such as the skateboarding society and DJ society, there’s something for everyone.
Every year, students vote for a Student Association President and Committee at each BIMM college. The elected students work collaboratively to deliver a successful BIMM Student Association, focused on enriching the students’ lives, helping to forge new connections and lasting friendships. By joining one of the societies or attending some of the student-led events, students build valuable skills and establish further connections outside of the classroom.
Students at BIMM get to vote for the Student Association President and Committee at each BIMM college. Societies and events range from sports like bouldering and football to social events and cultural clubs like Vinyl Club and Vegan Society. There are also gender and identity societies such as LGBTQ+ Society and Women’s Society. If that’s not enough, there’s the infamous lecturers vs. students quiz!
Each of BIMM’s eight campuses are located in cities with thriving music scenes and superb career opportunities.
London’s Fulham campus is close to upmarket cafes, bars and restaurants, as well as shops and nightclubs. The college is only a stone’s throw away from London’s museum district in South Kensington, with Hyde Park also nearby.
Brighton is a thriving student city with hundreds of pubs, bars, breweries, and nightlife. Students can relax on the beachfront in their downtime, swim in the sea, or enjoy some of the city’s excellent food scene.
London and Brighton are only an hour apart by train, so it’s easy to get a change of scenery or meet up with other BIMM students.
The other UK college locations (Manchester, Birmingham and Bristol) all have incredible and thriving creative scenes that boast a variety of venues and festivals, as well as a rich history of prestigious alumni that have passed through their doors.
BIMM’s Berlin students can immerse into the city’s world-famous music scene. From techno to metal, the German capital is home to some of Europe’s best venues and attracts students from all over the globe. All courses are taught in English.
