The university’s location provides students with stunning views out towards the Menai Strait, which separates Anglesey from the Welsh mainland.
Bangor University’s main library is a cutting-edge learning hub. It has an extensive collection of books and journals, and over 1,000 high-speed computers, with a digital archive of hundreds of thousands of online resources and course materials. The university offers 24-hour computer laboratories, individual and group study spaces and a selection of coffee shops for students to enjoy. Bangor University’s main library is uniquely supplemented by its very own Natural History Museum, Botanical Gardens and even a purpose built state-of-the-art marine research vessel, the ‘Prince Madog’, which enables the UK’s marine scientists to study the biology, chemistry, geology and physics of the surrounding seas. The vessel can take up to ten scientists and 20 students at any one time.
