AUB offers a wide range of full and part-time courses, as well as weekend and evening classes, allowing students to study at a time and pace that suits them, with levels ranging from Foundation to Postgraduate.
Students are taught by knowledgeable and experienced staff who are passionate about their subject areas. Assessments vary depending on the specific course, but will include essays, coursework, group work and presentations.
In terms of tuition styles, students will attend lectures and work on projects both in groups and independently, as well as being taught the skills needed to produce work of a professional standard so that they stand out to employers.
Collaboration is highly encouraged between different courses by the staff at the university. No creative subject stands alone at AUB and the best work happens when different disciplines come together.
Arts University Bournemouth students on Whatuni say:
“The course leader and his team have taken every possible care to maintain the best possible learning environment throughout the current restrictions, which for a practical course, have been challenging. Timetables have been flexible, technical resources assured and learning practise constantly focussed in favour of us as students.”
“We have small course therefore this allows us to get the most out of our learning as you can ask many questions in each session and get one to one time with your tutors to discuss assignments. This also allows us to get feedback on work from our tutors which is very beneficial. there's a lot of creative freedom within the course, and a lot of interaction with external businesses through running events and volunteer work.”
“It is very personal, they give you the freedom to move on with a project but are always around for input.”
