Arden has a number of intakes throughout the year: in January, April, July and October for Distance Learning and February, April, June, September and October for Blended Learning.
Distance learning is different to campus study: there’s no set timetable, and your materials are available online 24/7. This means you can study wherever works for you, whenever suits you, all through Arden’s innovative Online Learning platform.
The University’s ‘compressed blended’ learning model is a combination of Online Learning and regular seminars at one of Arden’s study centres in London, Birmingham or Manchester, allowing you to complete a three-year degree with only 2 days face-to-face commitment a week.
All Arden students are automatically enrolled into Arden University’s Student Association where you can connect with similar students all around the world.
Students can also apply for a TOTUM (formerly NUS Extra) card.
Accommodation should not be required if you are a Distance Learning student, so this is not something that is offered to our students. If you wish to relocate to be nearer one of their study centres in Birmingham, Manchester or London, you will need to find your accommodation independently. Arden University does not offer any funding for accommodation.
At Arden, your learning comes to you. You’ll have access to your learning materials 24/7 and will use their innovative, always-on ‘virtual classroom’ study portal called iLearn. Learning materials, forums, tutor discussions, library resources and career services are all located here.
If you choose to study via Blended Learning, you’ll have access to a variety of facilities, such as computers, internet, printing services, and study spaces. If you have any questions outside of class, you’ll still have access to your tutors and support team by email and by phone.
Blended Learning means you’ll complete a full-time degree with part-time hours on campus. It is the ideal mix of flexible Online Learning with face-to-face teaching.
With Birmingham, Manchester and London study centres to choose from, you’ll be immersed in one of the UK’s three major cities. All of Arden’s study centres are ideally located, with convenient transport links to get you right into the centre of city life.
This is not applicable to Online Learning at Arden University. While there are no clubs or societies at our Study Centres, there are various social events throughout the year. There are opportunities to get involved and become a Student Ambassador or Student Rep.
