New undergraduate students in Cambridge and Chelmsford can apply to book their place in university accommodation. University accommodation includes a desk, chair, wardrobe, bed and shelves.
In Cambridge, there’s a variety of halls to choose from, which are all on campus, as well as shared houses, which can be found nearby. The university accommodation includes:
Third-party accommodation in Cambridge (e.g., CB1 and The Railyard) can be applied for through the Residential Services Office.
There’s a student village in the heart of the Chelmsford campus, while students in Peterborough can apply to live in nearby flats and houses.

ARU provides an excellent standard of facilities and services across all three of its campuses. Libraries in Cambridge and Chelmsford stay open 24 hours, six days a week during semester time with self-service and online resources sharing between campus locations.
The Cambridge campus includes a TV studio and editing suites with professional equipment loan facilities, a theatre and art gallery as well as a mock law court, and mock hospital wards.
The Chelmsford campus has specialist workshops for architectural technology design, engineering and building surveying and is home to ARU’s Bloomberg Financial Markets lab with 16 terminals.

In Autumn 2022, the brand-new Peterborough campus will welcome its first students. The building will be environmentally friendly and offer a wide range of employment focused degrees and apprenticeships providing opportunities for Peterborough’s promising students and meeting the needs of the region’s employers.
