Sort:Latest reviewsMy overall university experience so far have been amazing. I never loved 'school' in my life as now. I feel that from the first year have gained so much knowledge, skills, and friends. Also, I learned how to managed better myself and my life.
At the beginning of the academic year it felt that it took quite a few months to settle into the course and for information relevant to the course and modules to start. However, enjoyable so far and interesting modules
I have loved every minute. I was incredibly nervous before starting university and thought I wasn’t going to go as I that worried. Attending welcome week was the best thing I ever did. I felt like I belonged from the second I walked onto campus. All of the staff are so helpful and supportive and this has made a huge positive impact on my university experience. I’ve made so many friends and I am really enjoying my time there.
Luckily i managed to have a great first year, thanks to a bunch of amazing friends i made im student halls. However, i wish i had tranferred universities elswhere after this, as my experience was so poor at the university of wolverhampton. Very boring city with nothing to do, very boring university with an inactive student union that do not put on events for students, awful university owned accomodation (althought private halls are okay in comparison) and the course quality was also poor.
It has been an incredible experience so far. All lecturers are very passionate about what they do and very supportive to all student through online support and face to face.
No support or guidance, lectures are unstructured and feedback is nil. If you fail it is impossible to meet with anyone before resit. I have no idea what I am paying £8.5K a year for!
I feel this university would be perfect for some people. For me, this university is/ has been the bain of my life. In my opinion they teach you to become a snob, rather than to appreciate your education. The lecturers are so rude to me, they don't care they absolutely shun you off and try and push off your issues onto someone else or into thin air. The staff are rude.... the facilities are good. Overall I personally wouldn't recommend coming here, purely due to the unnecessary added stress of how rude everyone is, they take favourites and are very unprofessional and personal.
I've really enjoyed my time at the university so far. I've settled in so well and am loving my psychology course! The Student Union arranges lots of great events during freshers week to make everyone feel more at home and to show case what the uni has to offer in terms of societies and other activities.
I don't understand why this university has such a bad reputation. I love my course (biochemistry), my lecturers and the university in general. I am very happy I chose to come to this university. Loving it!
I would say the university is good, the lectures and seminars are easy to understand. The support and resources are very good I would say as you get the help you need from staff and students that have experienced uni life.
University so far has been phenomenal. I have really enjoyed moving away from home and being able to live alone. You're much more free. The course I feel is challenging, yet likeable. Everyone in halls are a great laugh too and the prospects of me getting a job at the end are also quite high
