Sort:Latest reviewsUniversity of Winchester is an awesome place to study. My course Economics and Finance is planned out extremely thoroughly making it competitive and future proof. However, I wish there was an attendance policy at the uni, which makes it fair for the people who attend lectures regularly. There campus is beautifully designed and there are loads of space to relax and study. Wish the canteen offered more diverse foods especially vegan and vegetarian. But overall University of Winchester is absolutely the best place to study, lectures are always on hand, easy to book 1-1 appointments with which makes learning fun.
I think Winchester is very welcoming and supportive
A great place that has a thriving sense of community and support. Career guidance and support is in abundance and the opportunities given to me inside and outside of the University are great.
If the campus wasn’t on a hill it would be great

Best thing about University is the support I get for my learning difficulties. Over the years I have has a lot of support. Not all compulsory modules are course specific. For example an events module.
I quite liked the housing accommodations where in winchester but the only thing that hasn't been great so far is probably the administration team of the university

I like the fact that lecturers have experience within the field and can give their first hand opinion on what occurs within it. As well as the fact that they can bring people in to give a talk about a certain job area which is of interest in the future. Timetable gaps and a commuting student is sometimes a struggle
Best - meeting my friends and my student accommodation is so close to the uni so it’s really good . All the facilities on campus are really good lots of study areas and cafes! The university feels really modern and clean and the location is close to town! Worst- not much going on in the town in terms of things to do, food on campus is quite expensive
The support for careers could improve. However the facilities are very good.
Very friendly campus, interactive seminars and classroom style. Wide range of space to study. However for lectures the classroom style rooms are not ideal due to the position of tables and chairs and not very many plug sockets, a lot of students use laptops and have long days at uni. No space to type/write in some rooms.
Like my course lots of variety in modules.
Food available on campus is limited and not good quality, Student union is not good, Student support has been okay but only as a curative measure rather than putting effort into preventative measures for Student wellbeing
Environment More affordable acommodations
I like the feel, it's very home like. My faculty has plenty of issues, mostly with staffing and the courses aren't the best but I do enjoy studying here. There's plenty of amenities and the student life is good, I enjoy nights out and they do try to organise recharge days too.
The lecturers and University stuff in general are really great. Also the programme is interesting and challenges me to do my best

Winchester is a really pretty city, and the uni has a nice small campus which makes moving between lectures easy. The uni has two libraries and a bunch of on-campus places to eat (more than you'd expect for a uni this small). There's a mixture of new modern buildings, and a couple of old 1800s ones which is quite fun
Lecturers are all amazing, and media facilities are good. I do not like the over-emphasis on employability related modules at the expense of theoretical modules though. The work placement and community media modules should have been optional. Again though the staff are all fantastic and super supportive.
