Sort:Latest reviewsThe University of Westminster is a modern establishment in the heart of central London. Every year there are significant renovations to each campus. There is a strong sense of community within the University, even though we are spread across 6 campuses (including Wells St and LTS of course!). Teaching staff put back what you put in i.e. if you're enthusiastic and willing to contribute, they will challenge you and are happy to explain further during their dedicated office hour. Many opportunities to secure achievement awards and scholarships, strong mentoring opportunities. A positive place to learn.
Fantastic university Intellectual tutors Clean and safe environment Always something going on Range of people including a large group of international students to meet with, this is a great experience!
Overall the Uni was ok but not exactly the greatest in terms of facilities on the campus where I was based. I've rated it based on my campus (Regent Street) but I know other people liked their campuses like Harrow, and this made their experience at Westminster a much better one than mine. Teaching was good but social life could have been better.
Personally I believe westminster is a very good university and think they should be ranked a lot higher on university league table than their current position.the university has great facilities which being improved and a vast array of cultures represented within the students and faculty.
Supportive academic staff and sabbatical officers and many opportunities to get invoked with extracurricular activities. Great location in terms of campuses and great resources.
Teachers aren’t as experienced or skilled. You have to do a lot of work on your own using your own initiative. There are many positives about the university such as many links with businesses being located in central London. I think the University is overrated massively we need a change with the student because they are just sat on their lazy back side not making anything happen for the students.
Some lectureres are useless because they read of the slides. The people at this university are easy to get along with. The lectureres need to interact more with the students because students feels they are being isolated and not gettting their moneys worth. Tution fees has gone upto 9000 however the tecahing standrd has dropeed in my opnion because tecahers are getting paid more now.
Facilities are limited, need more facilities. Teachers are very unhelpful they don’t interact with students. They need to assist with students with the coursework and exams. We need more socalising place to chill and lets some stress away.

Facilities are really poor, there is no student union teachers cant speak English. We have no idea in seminar what the required standard for the coursework is and how we suppose to tackle the issues. Teachers tell us that we are not allowed to email then so what exactly are we supposed to do.
There needs to a SU more trips teaching is ok more interaction with students essysys should be easier assignments should get marked quicker but the current marking system is very ineffective we need the feedback to be more simple because at times tecahers use feedback which is to complex to understand and confuses students. Tecahers also need to be more precise in setting the tasks

Socialising aspects are really good everyone talks to you. A lot of teachers cannot seem to speak with good english accent. We need more facillities we need more I.T. labs and more places to socailize. We need more pool tables.

the teaching methods used are not great, more interaction with students needs to be considered. We cannot email tachers so how we shall get help if tecahers are not helping than how are we supposed to know what to do. What standadrd of the coursework is required there is no help non whats so ever.

I think my uni is the most unique, interesting and fun institute to ever study at. It has several facilities and services to fulfil your everyday needs, it has many society's that you can relate to and last but not least it has a friendly and fantastic SU which can help you progress into your uni life further. I am so happy and grateful for the chance I got to study at Westminster and wouldn't change it for a thing.
