It's in the heart of London with many places to see all around, so you are never bored. The Uni itself is very welcoming and showcases a lot of events for everyone to enjoy (poetry, art, music, and more). The only thing I think it could improve with is offer more information with what they offer in terms of disability.
The best aspect of my university experience was definitely the number of opportunities available and how encouraged I felt to actually take them. I was able to study abroad in Copenhagen and complete a placement year, and both experiences have added so much to my CV, my confidence and what I can now bring into my career. What stood out to me was that the opportunities were not just advertised to students; I genuinely felt supported to go after them. Even financially, when I was struggling and applied for additional funding, the university supported me, which made a real difference at the time. I was actually worried at the beginning about whether choosing Westminster was the right decision, but looking back, I am genuinely so glad I did. The main downside for me was the library during busy periods. It could become extremely packed, and because the main library area allows talking, occasionally people would be quite disruptive or use it more as a social space. This is obviously more about individual behaviour than the university itself, but having more dedicated quiet study areas or additional study spaces during peak periods would make the experience even better.
Nothing, the university had everything it had to offer. I value international experiences as well in which I was able to do through my university
An amazing experience overall. Not only with top notch learning resources but great professors. I enjoyed networking in Westminster and the work was always made fun. I’d highly recommended going here
They were very supportive accommodating mental health support and assuring you are the best student you can be ! I felt seen cared for and just exceeded every expectations with lecturers supporting you all the way

First gen student
It was worth it, nice professor, engaging learning, nice guidance
I think support could’ve been better for students especially if you’re close to the next grade boundary, helping to get there. Also if personal tutors were actually present during the course a bit more, mine wasn’t in for the entirety of my final year
Best - everyone is nice Worst - Getting lost in floors 3 and above
The best part of this Uni is its great location in Westminster
It’s been great! If I had to define Westminster in one word it would be balance. I love how I get time academically and socially. Everyone is so open minded and helpful!
The University of Westminster is a great place to study because of its location in the heart of London, at Baker Street. The professors are excellent and have relevant knowledge and experience in the sports industry. We also hear from experienced guest speakers working in the industry, which gives us valuable insight into real-world careers. In addition, we go on trips to visit sporting stadiums and venues, which is very helpful for gaining practical experience and a deeper understanding of the industry. The university experience could be enhanced by organising more on-campus activities and events for students.
The best thing would be making new friends from different cultures while learning life skills that will help you in life. The worst, I would say not having the Messy Monday, which does not go ahead anymore, which would make it hard for people to socialise and make new friends
Incredible Campus in the heart of London. A sports management course and a diverse school made me choose studying at the University of Westminster.
The best aspects have been the supportive lecturers, networking opportunities, and the support the university provides. There have been no downsides to uni.

Studying at the University of Westminster has been a defining experience largely due to its unbeatable location and professional atmosphere; whether you’re at the Regent Street campus or the media hubs in Harrow, you feel directly connected to the industry, and the diverse, international cohort really broadens your perspective. However, the university struggles significantly with administration and organization, where simple queries about timetables or grades often disappear into a void, and the "commuter culture" can make it difficult to build a tight-knit community unless you actively join societies. While the facilities and career connections are excellent, you have to be prepared for the high cost of London living and a high degree of self-reliance, as it lacks the cohesive campus bubble feel of universities outside the capital.
The University of Westminster has been a life‑changing and incredible place to study. The university embeds employability into everything, from lessons, employability awards, and career mentoring, and beyond the classroom there are endless global and practical opportunities, even for students who may not have prior experience. Before coming to university, I had never travelled internationally, but through Westminster I’ve been able to visit South Africa, Barbados for a Microsoft programme, and Scotland for a leadership retreat to support my professional development. The university also supported me financially, making these experiences possible. These opportunities exposed me to new cultures, helped build my confidence, and strengthened my communication and networking skills. I’ve also developed professionally through roles such as being a FAN (Friend of Arriving New Students), where I supported new students during their transition into university by signposting services, offering guidance, and delivering presentations during induction week. I’m also had the opportunity to become an e‑mentor and student caller as well, continuing to support students as they settle in. These roles have helped me build strong communication and active listening skills that prepare me for life after graduation. In terms of improvements, I genuinely feel Westminster offers so much already. However, one possible enhancement could be increasing awareness of the opportunities available, sometimes students only discover schemes or programmes after they’ve taken place.
It’s a great space to study because of the teaching support that they give to students, employability opportunities such as WWC, which is really unique, fun and helpful. One improvement could be to add more opportunities for year-abroad study and give more help and support on placement year.
The University of Westminster is known for its international community. As an international student, I feel that the university provides a warm and welcoming atmosphere for everyone. One of the best aspects of studying at the University of Westminster is its strong focus on student prospects. Westminster offers innovative programmes such as the Dragons Gene Editors of the Future, Cavendish Living Lab, Westminster Working Culture, and the Big Idea and Ignite competitions, alongside a highly active Students’ Union. Many of these opportunities are free of charge, making them accessible to all students.
The lectures and the opportunities the university offers are just incredible! They make moving to a new city feel like home.

Best: student support (academic and non) is fantastic! Truly a great resource. Something I would improve on is the looks of the cavendish campus facilities. Renovating the building would be nice
I had the chance to undertake multiple extracurricular events as part of my studies and they really enhanced my employability and my overall course content understanding. I would defo recommend to chose this uni if you want hands on experience in the science fields
Location was the best. Security excellent. Good thing they are renovating the building because it needed it
