The staff is very helpful and is always there to support students at any given time. The rooms are well equipped with the best computers and other equipment needed to get the most out of the lesson
My worst experience was the one two staff members at my campus that worked in Costa coffee at the business school was rude to me during my first year which lead to me having a panic attack in the bathroom. I went to order a coffee I asked if they could make me a latte please not to strong if they could add vanilla and caramel syrup with oat milk please at the time I was revising and I wanted something to wake me up I wasn’t meant to be drinking to much caffeine so that’s why I had ask for a small amount please half a shot or less the First Lady with a short bob dark ginger disregarded me and said she’s not serving me the then the other lady was really rude and was just saying what do u want and slammed the drink down at me unfortunately the coffee was black Americano with a splash of dairy milk I haven’t ordered from them since then
My 3-year course at the University of Westminster has been nothing short of an amazing experience from Day 1. Westminster is such a great place to study, particularly because of its location in the heart of London and the accessibility of its different campuses. Throughout my time at the university, I had the opportunity to visit all five campuses: Cavendish, Marylebone, Harrow, Regent Street and Little Titchfield Street, while meeting people from different courses and across the wider university community. Although Cavendish was my primary campus, being able to experience different parts of Westminster and connect with students from different backgrounds significantly elevated my university experience. Even now, as an alumni, I feel incredibly fortunate to remain connected to and part of such an inclusive and supportive community. One of the best aspects of my time at Westminster was the number of opportunities available beyond my degree. I made sure to take advantage of as many of these opportunities as possible, particularly through employability programmes and extracurricular experiences. I took part in Westminster Working Cultures (WWC), the Westminster Award and several other initiatives that allowed me to develop both personally and professionally. One of the highlights was having the opportunity to participate in a six-week intensive programme involving the development of an AI solution project for Cognizant and Aston Martin. Experiences like this allowed me to apply what I had learned through my degree to real-world challenges while also developing my confidence, communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills. These opportunities also allowed me to build valuable connections, friendships and professional relationships with people I may not otherwise have met. Looking back, I believe these experiences were some of the most valuable aspects of my time at Westminster because they allowed me to grow beyond the classroom and make the most of university life. That being said, it is slightly difficult to identify the worst aspects of my university experience because, overall, I genuinely had an amazing time. However, one area that I feel could have been improved was the communication and consistency of information within my course. At times, information was not always streamlined, clear or communicated in sufficient time, which made it difficult for students to understand what was expected of them and plan ahead. As a Course Representative for Business Computing, I sometimes found it challenging to act as the person responsible for streamlining information and communicating updates to my peers when the information provided to us was unclear. I experienced something similar during my role as an EDI Student Champion, where some information was not presented clearly and I often had to speak with my peers, seek clarification and make assumptions to understand what was required. This made it more difficult to communicate confidently with others and, at times, left students unsure about the next steps. I believe this could be improved by providing students with clear, direct and consistent information in a timely manner. Giving students sufficient notice would allow them to plan ahead, understand expectations and organise their schedules accordingly, particularly as students have their own commitments outside of university. Better communication would therefore reduce confusion and prevent students from feeling caught off guard by changes or important information. Despite this, my overall experience at the University of Westminster has been incredibly positive. I have taken advantage of the opportunities presented to me, developed both personally and professionally, built lasting friendships and relationships, and created memories that I will always value. I genuinely loved my time at Westminster and, now that I have graduated, I dearly miss it.

There are many facilities and floors which have dedicated areas for studying. The library is also fitted with computers and upto date reading materials alongside the online library to help with materials needed for the courses. Some of the facilities such as the toilets tend to be out of service for a while . The lift in the main cavendish campus also tends to sometimes be out of service leaving a long line for those waiting to go to the labs on the 6+ levels.
The Professor’s are so friendly and supportive. People’s around university are so nice
Having the opportunity to take part in the global experience - partially funded by the uni resort, I was able to travel to Sri Lanka and participate in a marine and wildlife conservation volunteering scheme!
The University of Westminster is a great university and a highly regarded institution that places a strong emphasis on the experience and success of its students. Throughout my time there, I have found the university to be genuinely committed to providing a high standard of education while creating a supportive and welcoming academic environment. The quality of education is consistently strong, and the examination and assessment system is well organised and provides students with a fair opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding. The teaching staff are also highly supportive, approachable, and actively involved in the university community. Their willingness to engage with students and provide guidance makes a real difference to the overall student experience. Overall, I have had a very positive experience at the University of Westminster. It is an institution that genuinely cares about its students, values academic development, and provides a strong educational experience. I would highly recommend Westminster to anyone looking for a supportive university with dedicated teaching staff and a good standard of education.

There are many study spaces around the university including the library.

There are loads of study areas around the university including the library and student centre areas. The food at the university is quite reasonable and has various offers to help the students. Sometimes the toilets are out of service for long periods of time such as 2 days +.

I personally loved studying at the Regent Campus. The location is perfect, with so many things nearby, and the campus itself has its own café, gym and great social clubs. I especially loved the dance club, as well as the seminar and lecture rooms. There’s a really nice atmosphere and a strong sense of community, you really feel like part of the University of Westminster. One thing that could be improved is having more quiet, isolated spaces for studying in Regent campus. However, the Cavendish Campus is very close, so it’s easy to go there if you want to use the library or find a quieter place to study.

As an international student, I had a really good experience at Westminster. There was always a lot of support, and I found it easy to feel part of the community. I really liked that societies were free and there was such a wide range to choose from. The free gym, affordable meals and regular events were also a big plus. I also appreciated the career support and opportunities like employer panels, the Westminster Employability Award and Westminster Working Cultures. Overall, I felt there were lots of opportunities to get involved, meet people and make the most of university life.
Variety of people is definetly a olus and location is incredible, I would personally improve the student involvement for first year students in extracurricular activities as music events and pubs tour and something to stimulate sociality among freshers

The sports teams and gym facilities made my experience so much better. The free breakfasts and coffees in the morning was a great part of the morning routine. The teachers and lecturers were great with their communication and support in my experience.

One of the things that makes the university stand out is its supportive learning environment. The lecturers and staff are approachable and encourage students to ask questions and engage with their studies. The university also provides opportunities to gain practical knowledge and develop skills that can be useful for future careers. I have also enjoyed being part of such an international and diverse student community. Meeting people with different cultures, experiences, and perspectives has made my university experience more interesting and enjoyable. It has helped me expand my way of thinking and build meaningful connections. Overall, the University of Westminster is a great place to study because it combines academic learning with personal development, diversity, and a supportive student environment. Based on my experience, it has been a place where I have been able to learn, grow, and make valuable memories.
The best aspect of my Politics course has been the teachers. They are really attentive, supportive, and always willing to help students when they have questions or need additional guidance. I have also enjoyed learning about different political systems, ideas, and current issues, which has made the course interesting and engaging. The worst aspect of the course is sometimes the workload, particularly when multiple assignments or deadlines are close together. However, overall, I have had a positive experience, and the attentiveness and support of the teachers have made studying the course much more enjoyable.
