Yeah, programs can be tough, but the hands-on experience is super valuable in patient care! It's all about finding that balance.

It was so bad I had to drop out from 3rd year. Be very careful if you chose to study there. This university have extremely bad reputation for a reason.

The buildings are nice but they miss some indications to find our way. Plus, Paisley is not always very accessible so it's difficult to enjoy student life there.

Honestly, I am beyond dissapointed with the quality of my course. Do not go to UWS (Lanarkshire) unless you have no other options. First off, class timetables won't be released until the week before you are due to attend the classes. It is currently the 23rd of March, I need to be in class on the 4th of April and still have no idea what days, what times (the fact timetables are released late is the one consistent thing at UWS). They also will not tell you about placements until again a week or two in advance, and considering these placements are full time hours (40-48hrs a week), it is next to impossible to schedule childcare, work schedules, anything within the timeframe between when you get your placement details to when you are physically on placement. When my course begun, they also didnt release my coursework to me until 4-5 weeks AFTER the course had physically begun, so I had no access to any of the work I was suppossed to be doing until over a month into the course. My university also forgot to ensure I was health checked when the pandemic hit, sent me out on placement, realised that wasn't allowed, pulled me out of placement, then because of COVID I couldn't get a health check appointment until halfway through the academic year, at which point I was so behind on placement I had to do a repeat year. Every step of the way I have tried to raise complaints with the university about how unacceptable this all is, and every step of the way they refuse to acknowledge any responsability for these issues. You, as the student, are made to feel all these setbacks are somehow your fault. I have had nothing but negative experiences at this university and I cannot say it enough: DO NOT GO HERE.

Criminal Justice and Forensic Science BSc (Hons)

The lecturers and staff in the uni are all very helpful, kind, friendly. Has made finding out information very easy. Uni is very good at providing updated through email and MyDay as well as having a very informative website. Uni campus is excellent, many different buildings so difficult to find way around to begin with. Gym facilities are great as well as the union for food/ drinks. Not much on campus experience as all classes have been online, majority optional aside from lectures all taking place online. Seminars are optional on campus/ online. Labs all on campus, great science facilities in the building.
