I would say it’s okay a bit confused at times as I’m used to teachers telling me what I should be doing . And my personal organisation skills aren’t the best . Also I haven’t yet been able to make friends due to online lectures but have spoken to fellow class mates . Would say more help could be given on how to use blackboard and better description given to uni assignments as I’m not always clear on what I meant to do
Have yet to access/experience all services and facilities due to COVID lock down. But uwl was pretty clean when I was attending last year probably because there wasn’t to many students but what I’ve seen I’d say it was pretty good
Pretty good always being emailed about metal health , how/who I can contact etc questionnaires
3 hour Online lectures . Contact with tutors is pretty fast turn around (next day)

Been emailed job opportunities but as I’m in foundation year some don’t apply for me

Hasn’t been the best year due to COVID-19 as classes had to be held online for safety measures and in line with government guidance. This made classes less engaging and unusual as we had never experienced this before. However, it would be unfair to comment on this due to the pandemic. Although, all staff and lecturers were very supporting and were always there for students when needed.
Many facilities available and all are very easy to access. The university is always clean and shared spaces are well looked after.
Very easy access to personal services. The university really cares for the well-being of its students. Support can be accessed online or in the building. It’s very comforting knowing that support is available always.
Blended learning. Due to the pandemic, lectures are taught online but practical lessons are in-class.
Many ways to access career services.

Course is great, university accommodation is horrible. I lived at paragon for a month before they told us it was a fire hazard and evacuated us even though they have know that it was a fire hazard for years, I was then moved to another accommodation where my flat mates smoked and did drugs in the kitchen and the smoke came into my room so I neither ate in the kitchen/ at all or slept without my window open (in winter- I was freezing). So I moved out into the student village that charge so much money that I can’t afford to live gear next year so I’ll have to move again soon.
There are not that many practice rooms
It’s great, all in person except when Covid gets in the way.

A great school. Could be slightly better organised. Not perfect, but everything is done with good intentions, to help you be prepared and the best you can be. I love DSL so much. Well worth the audition! UWL isn’t the best in terms of accommodation- my year in halls was horrendous - but I dealt with it because DSL made it worth it.
The main building is small and old-fashioned but with lots of character. Mainly use other buildings during COVID to ensure space for social distancing. Everything is clean and well-maintained. It’s a small school within UWL but UWL services and spaces are available. Could do with better spaces to eat! Lovely garden area.
Pretty good. The staff are generally pretty good at listening to concerns. There are extra classes to support neuro-diverse students, and tutorials to check out well-being. Of course, there are still areas for improvement. Not all staff have an understanding of anxiety.
Amazing contact hours (6 hours per day, 5 days per week when in-person, still had 3 hours a day online). 1 to 1 with a personal tutor every week. Full-time actor training to prepare you for the industry. Staff always make time for you and listen to your needs. Extra masterclasses and talks take place from time to time.

The school prepares you to be a working actor. That includes supporting yourself financially and looking for opportunities. They have a great industry week and fantastic visitors.

My overall experience was the lecturers are professional and helpful. Always happy to book a meeting and discuss anything that you need such as: assessment guidance or help trying to get your grades, career advice, scholarship references. The lectures are interesting and the teacher bring real life stories and cases into them so that we can see as student how it would apply or work in the real world. The seminars are interactive and students are always given the opportunity to ask questions and answer them.
The printing black and white is free the library is clean and beautiful. It smells refreshing and motivates you to study. There is floors assigned for certain activities which makes it easier for group work and silent studying because everyone know which floor to go to.
The services are always communicating via email to make sure that we know they are there if needed.
We have 2 hours live lecture and 1 hour webinar where we discuss questions and go through what we have learnt. I am finding really good how they are doing most of the lecturers interact with the student while on a lecture and a webinar to make easier not to lose track and become bored.

We have a specific, forum where we can look for jobs and internships. The lecturers also try to advertise and inform us personally of a lot of opportunities. And how to apply for them.

My experience is great. I love it. I initially signed up for IT course. After first semester of programming module, my professor noticed my skills and pushed me to change course to Computer Science. Which I did. Tutors are very nice and knowledgable, they help you a lot. They support your career 100% and I definitely made the right choice.
Very good. University of west London is very modern
Excellent. They will sit with you and explain things you didn’t understand
They are the best
I live at home due to the prices in London so I have to commute. Takes me 1.5 hours to get there. And there’s a free Uwl buss that takes students from Ealing Broadway station to uni
They have recently built a very modern gym so it is great.
The fact that they encourage to ask questions and they will explain in different ways if we didn’t understand

They encourage us to do our best and there are many job fairs organised at uni
I wish I had never gone. I have zero career prospects, and am looking at starting work at Tesco full time. UWL bills itself as the 'career university' however I am in exactly the same position as I was three years ago only now I have about £40,000 worth of debt. LCM is only out to make money from students. I feel like I have learnt nothing of note in the last three years.
For what you pay, not good enough. There are universities with 1000% better facilities.
Minimal. This is a problem of the LCM faculty. Communication is as low as it can go and staff say they are listening but don't appear to act on anything you have said.
The SU seems to be very pro the university. It has got better in the last few years, with things being advertised more, but it was still very much off my radar.
Obviously this is one thing the university can't screw up, and you are living very close to central London. this however is nothing to do with the uni.
At the freshers fair at the start of the year there was always a handful of stalls and such but after that you never heard from them for the rest of the year
Not at all. I feel like I have had no support in finding future jobs.
Overall 4/5 big fan of the uni!
Made a great move from Birmingham, so glad I did it!
Generally happy, nothing particularly bad apart from sometimes awkward timetables and no room for change.

Other students also liked these unis - you might too!
The staff are incredible, unbelievably understanding and supportive. They want you to succeed and you can really tell. However, Lipman building is constantly broken. The top two ...
