Tell us about your overall university experience so far.
For the past year that I have been here, my experience has been good. It could have been better e.g. I am disappointed 4th year students didn't receive an induction separate to the years below. I feel we would have benefited from it.
How does your uni make efforts to increase your employability (careers department, work placements, transferable skills)?
We are told about workshops, career/interview facilitation via email. We also have a career and skills page. Which is useful in keeping you on track
Course and Lecturers
What do you like most and least about the way your course(s) are taught?
There are certain subjects I enjoy more due to having a better lecturer. I do not like when a lecturer speaks on a topic as though they do not have an interest, because why would I?
What do you think of your Students' Union in terms of student representation and facilities?
Haven't had much interaction with them I have only seen them take action based on recent dissertation events
How good are your university’s facilities?
They are satisfactory but I always feel things can be improved. Eg more lounging areas to relax. Cleaner library
Is your university in a good location in terms of distance to accommodation and local amenities?
not far in distance to me
Societies and Sports
How would you rate the variety of societies/sports?
I always see something new in the main building being advertised so that's good, I am not a member of anything though so I cannot say much here
How good is the support offered by the uni? Think both academic (tutors/feedback) and personal (counselling, etc).
So far, tutors have been supportive when i have needed. The real test will be this year.. I will require more support and I am relying on tutors to be there for me
