I really appreciate the level of contact we have with our lecture tutors, as well as course convenors. It allows questions to be answered, more or less any day of the week! Although law is a highly subscribed course, I still feel like a well respected individual student. The seminars allow me to ask questions without fearing getting questions wrong. It would be beneficial to have lectures be both online and in-person, especially as someone struggling with anxiety, depression, and cPTSD. In my foundation year one of my lectures was streamed so you could attend either in person or online. This helped massively on days where I couldn’t get out of bed but didn’t want to miss out on learning. This takes the pressure off of students who may not feel up to coming to lectures, but still want to engage in the learning material.

The location was slightly further from the main campus, but was also right by the downs. This meant I was able to be in nature from the moment I left to go to lectures, until the moment I got back. The halls were in good condition, with some aspects which did need improving (mainly just hoover issues). The maintenance team were exceptional and we had cleaners in once every 3/4 weeks which helped massively.

My course is in class learning and lectures are recorded for after lectures studies, the slides are also offered to us on canvas, the resources are given to us and we are encouraged to look for more through our library and anywhere else we can, my course hours allow for extracurricular flexibility and study time.

I wish if it can suggest more direct ideas for developing educational systems.

There’s sufficient time each week for lectures and seminars which makes it easier to grasp content.

I like the location , it’s quiet and peaceful, makes it easy to unwind after a long day.

In person and online sometimes. Too many contact hours - labs, post- labs, seminars and lectures. Also a lot of assignments and exams. Very very stressful. I have 7 hours of uni in one day sometimes in comparison to other students outside of stem who have 7 hours in the entire week.

Not a value for money

I think it would be good if we had more time with tutors/ people that can support us with student life as timetabled rather than booking it yourself. I think 2nd year is very intense course hours so when going into 3rd year it's a big adjustment to have all that own learning time.

I think it was a perfect transition to uni, gave me opportunity to make friends with my housemates. The regular cleaing was helpful to make sure the kitchen wasn't just left for one person to clean.

The course hours are good, same as the contact with lecturers. I have a perfect amount of hours for each module, and enough free time to get my work in plus some extra studying as well as time to spend with friends and myself. It's easy to balance the classes here with the lecturers making the content a lot easier to understand with their teaching techniques.

Swanborough is very good, more on the expensive side though. The facilities are definitely worth it, the beds are comfy, the rooms are big/spacious and the closet size is amazing. The kitchen's are just as good with a lot of storage and lots of space for communal activities.

I enjoy lectures, and there has been a fair amount of seminars which I feel are good because you get to talk about what you’re learning more.

The course is really engaging and encourages creativity and independent thinking. The lecturers are approachable and supportive, and I appreciate the balance between practical projects and theoretical learning. The workshops and studio sessions help to develop real-world skills.

The halls are comfortable and conveniently located, making it easy to get to classes and meet new people. The community atmosphere is great, and maintenance usually responds quickly when there’s an issue.
