Very welcoming atmosphere and nice campus, Guildford town is quite a walk from the other end of campus so maybe more shops available on campus would be nice

The overall area is ok, if you are being taught in the newer areas then the Lecture Rooms aren't as bad. Some other areas are but they should be refurbished.

Sociology BSc (Hons)

University rating (4)

Best Aspects: Most lecturers are genuinely lovely and helpful people. There's a lot of support with assignments, also there's no reading week which I like as it means a longer summer/ winter holiday for me. There are a lot of low cost events put on by societies and the beryl bike scheme is good as there are spacious bike lanes. Worst aspects: The cost to join a sports society - its so expensive. The nights out are pretty rubbish and if you come here looking for romance, there is a zero chance you will find any. The toilets in every building but the senate house and teaching block are old, outdated and have a grimy feeling. The buildings are pretty old too, I wish the concrete buildings were brick instead, they should put more funding in restoring older buildings so they look nice.

Veterinary Biosciences BSc (Hons)

University rating (4)

The uni location is great, close to the town centre and has a good public transport network. The campus is beautiful, with many places to sit with friends or study. The accommodation is a tad expensive... but that is to be expected with the cost of living how it is at the moment.

Civil Engineering BEng (Hons)

University rating (4)

The campus has a lot of good study/social spots alongside the library that feel very welcoming. There are also many nature and green spots that help me feel relaxed and encouraged when trying to study.

Economics BSc (Hons)

University rating (4)

The students are easy to converse with, everyone is very friendly and welcoming and I felt that ever since I entered the university (on my first day elder students could see I was lost and I didn’t even have to ask to help they could just see and offered a helping hand and I really appreciated it). The facilities live up to the standard of top 20 in the country and directions are clear around the campus so it’s easy to find where you want to go.
