Photography, Video and Digital Imaging BA (Hons)

University rating (5)

Full of culture and history, brilliant facilities and staff. Parking could be cheaper for students travelling in, prefer if there was more of a student bar on campus to socialise on St Peter’s Campus.

Primary Education with QTS BA (Hons)

University rating (3)

The university offers free campus travel between campuses and accommodations. There are also a number of activities, societies and clubs to partake in. To improve the university could offer more places for students to hang out in between lectures.

The best aspect happens to be the friendliness of the university community. The people I have met are always willing and ready to assist at any point in time.

SECOND YEAR

Paramedic Science and Out of Hospital Care BSc (Hons)

University rating (3)

The university has great facilities for my course, however I think this could be improved by allowing us more access to the facilities. I think my lecturers offer a great level of student support. The location is good but can be sometimes difficult if you have lectures on both campuses during one day. Student life is good but could be improved by a proper student union bar rather than the current setup.

Adult Nursing Practice BSc (Hons)

University rating (3)

I like that it’s a city based campus so you have lots of amenities near by, good public transport (when the busses and metro service are not on strike). Since covid I’ve noticed that the social aspect of uni has massively decreased. This isn’t a lack of trying by the SU but students attitudes have changed and they want to come to lectures and go home again. The parking is cheap (£1.30/day) but the spaces are limited and if you don’t arrive by 8:15, you’re not getting a space. There’s a massive 700 space multi-storey nearby that’s new but at £7/day not many students use it and I think the university could work with the council to make it more student friendly. The course itself is good. Some really effective high fidelity simulation to help learn. I think the marking can be a bit harsh at times but the feedback we get is really detailed and we can book a 1:1 session with the marker afterwards to get a deeper understanding of how to improve for the next one
