It’s been great, learned a lot and met lots of people. Never a dull moment, feel like a new person and grown leaps and bounds. Would definitely recommend Strathclyde
Top notch modern facilities
Great feedback always
Very good runs well and exciting events
Great night life, great food, best culture
Sports teams are tories
Large variety of topics, lacking personal interaction with staff

Grad fairs, careers service, scholarships, industry placements
So far, unpleasant and lonely. The students in my classes have not been willing to help, and they lack the etiquette of responding to emails. If I knew the age group would primarily be in their early to mid 20s I would not have come. Being in my 30s it has been difficult to assimilate, as the younger students do not wish to include anyone outside their groups.
They are fine.
Support is good. Wish booking appointments with mental health professionals was easier. The university could use more staff in the career services to cater to the amount of people wanting to use them.
It is quite nice and accessible. I do not get involved because other students are not welcoming to new people.
City life is great to experience if you have the time to be away from your studies.
The times they meet are during my classes. So I have not had much luck.
Not much for most. I find the one day a week for each course challenging. The lack of inclusivity by students is disheartening. The workload is rather tedious within the timeframe alotted.

They provide workshops and career services are available.
It is a provate room with a communal kitchen.
I love Strathclyde. I've made great friends and got to live in Hong Kong as part of my course. This is mandatory as part of my course so it meant that it was guaranteed which is great.
Great sports centre and library.
I had a pretty bad experience regarding counselling so I would say not great.
Very democratic and fun. I have worked here as a student member of staff. It is really flexible and I love it.
I love Glasgow. There is so much going on and loads of restaurants and bars.
I'm not a member of any but I work with a lot of them. They're all very friendly.
Very interactive which helps you get involved and gain a greater understanding.

Management Development Programme gives you the chance to work on real life work scenarios with top businesses.
It has been very enjoyable so far, the night life is very good and the university has been very welcoming. My accommodation is nice and clean, over and above what I expected
Good, very welcoming and accessible
Very good, wide range of mental health support and support with course work
I really enjoy the students union it is a great way to meet new people with the range of societies and clubs
Very good and lively
Don’t participate in any as of yet
I like that my course is very independent so it is up to you to take responsibility for your own work and success However sometimes this can be challenging as there is little help compared to high school structures

Work to understand the needs and wants of employers and reflect this in the course Have accessible careers advice
Really great Mchem is an iteresting and challenging course that covers a huge range of areas. Lots of contact hours and lab time. Campus is really nice and easy to navigate. Lectures are passionate and approachable City is fun and diverse with lots to do. Fairly cheap place to live!
Very good! Chemistry labs are amazing Great gym and library Uni is close together
Personal support is very good if you know how/where to get it All lectures are friendly and more than happy to help
It is ok Not as many clubs and societies as would like Course takes up most of my time Students are weird
Glasgow is an amaxing city! So much music and art Lots of great resturants, bars and pubs Beautiful parks Good public transport
Ok Not happy about the fees
Lectures are so passionate! Courses are really interesting and fairly assessed Can be a lot of material

Year in industry placements Lots of practical work Transferable skills course
A great experience with friendly people, interesting lectures and good social atmosphere. You can learn a lot about both yourself and what you want to do in your future career.
Our department is great with a social area and desks for 5th years
Feedback from tutors is varied and I have never personally went to counselling
I don’t go! I feel like there are better places to hang out in town
It’s great, easy access to transport but expensive parking
The DMEM society is a great way to meet people
The course is very interactive with lots of group work and lecturer participation. This is annoying at the time but really useful in long term industry work

The careers department come into lectures once a year. Although this is a useful reminder to update your CV, it is often very generic so lacks impact. In terms of work placements the department advocates summer internships allowing this to count for 20 credits the next year
My overall university experience so far has been great, I’ve enjoyed being independent and I’m finding learning at Strathclyde to be very interesting. The workload is a lot heavier than what I’m used to at school but that’s to be expected when starting university. All of the student halls being so close together makes it a lot easier to make friends which is good as that is also a big part of uni.
The faculties could be a bit quicker and a bit more helpful in terms of responding to emails where you might have issues.
Academic tutors are generally very helpful, easy to find and get in touch with and you can always get help from the tutors in your tutorials. I’ve not received any personal support since I have been here so I’ve not encountered what it is like, however I have received emails and notices on myplace about where I would find counselling if need be.
I like the student Union, I’ve not been many times just as I’m not sure what is on there, but the few times I have been I’ve enjoyed it.
The city life is great, there’s endless amount of things to do and town is a 5 minute walk away.
I have personally not joined any clubs or societies but I went to the sports fair during freshers week and there were endless types of sports available for people to play, some sports I’d never even heard of before. Plenty to choose from.
I like most that they are taught by experienced people who know exactly what they are talking about. I think there needs to be more communication about what we have to do outside of the lectures in terms of tests and assignments.

Events you can attend in your free time in order to meet people and get your name out.
Clean, spacious, quiet. Close to other accommodations and close to the university buildings.
It’s brilliant. There are a lot of international students. You feel like the community in the university, where everyone is always ready to help. Get involved and don’t be shy!
We are provided with library, campus, cafes and the gym which is very cheap for students
Tutors usually replies asap.
The most active people I’ve ever met
Active and busy
There are a lot to choose from
Engagement of professionals and architectural guests. Our cultural studies are a bit messed up and unclear - it is the only disadvantage.

There are a lot of opportunities provided to find part-time job or summer internship. Moreover, Uni organizes career fairs
I’ve had a great experience, I really love my course and the uni, I’ve made loads of friends and I’m learning new things all the time. I’d tell future students that if you are struggling there is always someone there to chat and help, so don’t worry about reaching out for help if you need it
great! I think that the way that strathclyde are upgrading the campus is going to help so much, the library is a great resource and has everything I need
Support is great at the uni, I’ve had to access counselling and it has helped me a lot with my studies, also the tutors are really supportive and there’s always an opportunity to ask questions
Our student movement is amazing, they represent our views to the university and have made real change for us. They have so many social things going on which is amazing for the university experience. I am not involved at the moment but would love to be
Glasgow is a great city and has so much on for students, it’s a great place to study
the clubs and societies are really diverse and have a lot to offer, there is something for everyone
I like that my course is taught by qualified lecturers that are very knowledgeable about their subject. I also like that PowerPoints are uploaded to myplace so I can look at the lectures before I go. There’s not much I don’t like about my course but I’d love if there was more social opportunities

They run employability fairs, have work placements available and have the strathclyde uni advice hub for any advice we need for employability, careers and life issues.
I was switching careers (Politics undergrad, spent 3 years working in construction) so chose an IT conversion masters. I learnt a lot of new skills like data analysis with Python and gained a place on the summer placement with the University IT department. I have since got a 18 month contract in the department
Like: Online textbook Dislike: having to sign lecture sign in sheets

Industrial Placement in the University IT department
Other students also liked these unis - you might too!
Best is the location and the people. Academics could do with improvement
I enjoy the support from the lecturers and the college wanting to provide a nice studying environment for higher education students. I do enjoy the campus site however a disadvanta...
Everyone is Friendly including Faculty. Overall best but instalment duration for international student is bit challenging. Shoulfd b 6 month instalments plan
